Many
women (as well as men) experience what is referred to as estrogen dominance -
too much estrogen in relationship to the amount of progesterone in the body.
This imbalance can come from many sources such as synthetic estrogens and
progestins used in Hormone Replacement Therapy; and
Xenoestrogens- estrogen-like substances found in meat and dairy products from
animals given estrogen growth hormones; municipal water supplies and through
petrochemicals, pesticides, and plastics.
This
imbalance can cause serious problems such as birth defects, headaches,
depression, weight gain, acne, insomnia, liver dysfunction, breast tenderness,
gall bladder problems, decreased sex drive, reduced oxygen in cells, increased
probability of cysts and fibroids, bone loss, various cancers, baldness,
prostate problems, etc.
