How to condition your hair:
If you used one of our all natural emu oil shampoos you may not even need to condition. However, if your hair is dry or tends to tangle follows these directions.
First be absolutely sure your hair is fully rinsed.
Detangle hair with your fingers allowing water to run over it.
Shake bottle well and place a small amount of product (try the size of a quarter and adjust up or down from there depending upon the length and thickness of your hair) on your palm.
Lightly spread the conditioner over both hands mostly on the fingers. Starting at the base of your neck, gently work your fingers through your hair out to the ends. Slowly work your way up only as far as you feel the need to combat dryness. Do not condition your scalp - that’s where the sebum (what you think of as oil) is secreted, so there’s plenty of moisture there already and you will also reduce the fullness of your hair.
You should leave this conditioner on your hair for 3-5 minutes. Most woman do not leave the conditioner in long enough for it to penetrate the hair shaft.
Rinse under cool water, running your fingers gently through the hair.
Most sources will tell you never to comb or brush your hair until it is at least 75% dry and more elasticity has returned to the hair. However, those of us with curly, tangled; hair (myself) have to get it combed out well before it's dry. In that case – while the conditioner is still in the hair, take a very wide-tooth, gentle comb and start at the ends. Let the water gently fall on hair and begin to work out tangles. Starting at the ends, move slowly up the hair shaft little by little, never pulling on hair. You should be able to gently comb hair out without losing more than a couple of strands.
Finish rinsing with water as cool as you can to close the hair cuticle.
